Kanchanjunga is the third highest
peak of the world and lies in Taplejung
district. Among various castes present
in Nepal, the castes like Rai, Sherpa,
and Tibetan are present in this area.
We can find Rai in majority than Sherpa
and Tibetan over here. Most of the
people are engaged in farming as well
as Animal husbandry. Some of the people
are also engaged in Tourism sector.
Tourists like to visit this area for
watching different Birds, plants,
Animals like Snow tiger which is quite
popular among Tourists. One of the
main aim of tourists in visiting Kanchanjunga
Area is to visit the both side Kanchanjunga
Base Camp and to climb Kanchanjunga,
Kumbakarna (Janu himal) Mount Khambache,
Bhokta peak like mountains. Olangchula
which border is connected with Tibet
is in this area because of which people's
trade with Tibet is quite good.
